The principle of building in accord with Natural Law - aligning any building with the evolutionary power of Natural Law - comes from the ancient Vedic Literature.
From Fullness Emerges Fullness
The field of Vedic Architecture, which is the field of Vedic Mathematics, has only one basic principle of structuring, and that is Purnat purnam udachyate (Brihad Aranyak Upanishad, 5.1.1) - from fullness emerges fullness - from fullness is structured fullness - from total Natural Law emerges total Natural Law. In the process of transformation, or evolution, it is the Totality that is reborn again and again - Navo-navo bhavati jayamanah (Rk Veda, 10.85.19). This means that in the sequential flow of evolution of Natural Law, all its expressions, at every step of evolution, are sustained in the quality of WHOLENESS.
This principle of fullness emerging from fullness is exemplified in the procedures of Maharishi Sthapatya Veda, where the first step is to establish the Brahma-Sthan, the central point of the structure or building-the seat of WHOLENESS, Totality - and with reference to this central point of the structure, the expression of fullness - Totality - expands.
The Individual is Cosmic
Buildings that are constructed according to Maharishi Sthapatya Veda are very soothing, uplifting, and evolutionary to everyone because every individual is essentially Cosmic in nature - the structure and functions of the individual physiology are an exact replica of the Cosmic Physiology, the physiology of the universe, because Natural Law is the basis of both - Anoraniyan Mahatomahiyan. The intelligence of every grain of creation is in tune with the whole cosmos, and that is how, structurally, the infinite diversity of the ever-expanding universe is upheld by one unified wholeness of intelligence.
The truth is that the individual is Cosmic on both levels - on the level of intelligence, or consciousness, and also on the level of his body, which is the expression of his consciousness, or intelligence. Individual intelligence and his physiology have their counterparts in Cosmic Intelligence and Cosmic Physiology. The Sun, Moon, planets, and stars always influence their counterparts functioning in the brain physiology of everyone.
Because of this cosmic status of the individual, in order for the individual to be at peace and harmony within himself, everything about him should be in harmony with the universe; it is necessary that everything with which he is concerned, or anything that is in his environment, is in full alliance and harmony with the Cosmic Structure and its basis in Cosmic Intelligence.
Alignment with Structuring Dynamics
of the Whole Universe
The principle of Maharishi Sthapatya Veda is to establish any building, any village, any city, any country in full alignment with the structuring dynamics of the whole universe, which maintains the connectedness of everything with everything else.
Maharishi Sthapatya Veda is that aspect of the cosmic knowledge of Natural Law which maintains the building in which the individual lives and works, and the environment in which he moves, well set in cosmic harmony.
The formulas of Maharishi Sthapatya Veda are such that they conform to the forty values of the Vedic Literature, the forty structuring dynamics of the Laws of Nature, and this is how the structures, or buildings, built according to Maharishi Sthapatya Veda, being in tune with the structuring dynamics of the ever-expanding universe, create the effect of harmony and stability in the life of the individual and society.
Everything Should Be Vedic
It is necessary that everything concerning the individual, and everything in his environment, breathes cosmic harmony, and that means everything should be according to Maharishi Sthapatya Veda - every structure should be built according to Natural Law - everything should be Vedic.
Research in human physiology (by Professor Tony Nader, M.D., Ph.D.) has shown that all the forty qualities of intelligence, available to us in the Vedic Literature, are at the basis of the structures and functions of every aspect of the physiology.
All the forty qualities of intelligence, available in the Vedic Literature in the form of sound, have been located in the nucleus of the cell, in the cell, and in the whole physiology; and every aspect of the nucleus of the cell is connected with every aspect of the cell; and every aspect of the cell is connected with every aspect of the whole physiology; and every aspect of the nucleus of the cell, the cell, and the whole physiology of the individual has its counterpart in the whole universe.
The clear understanding of this connectedness of the individual physiology with its counterparts in the Cosmic Physiology gives us the basic understanding that it is worthwhile following the Vedic Text to bring individual life in alignment with Cosmic Life - in order to enjoy stability of life in harmony with Cosmic Order. This is the purpose of architecture: it should take into account all environmental values of individual and collective life.
